<p> </p><p>WACE CE BETY? (WHO IS BETY?)</p><p>Her real name is Aisha, and she is originally from Sudan. Her father, Alhaji Sufiyan, and her mother, Safna, belong to the same extended family. They are children of Baffa Hamid and Baffa Ahmad, who share the same parents.</p><p>Baffa Hamid had four children: Sumayya, the eldest, followed by Sufiyan, Asiya (the youngest), and Alqasim.</p><p>Baffa Ahmad had two children: Muhammad and Safna.</p><p>Sufiyan and Safna eventually got married, a union that brought great joy to their families. Shortly after their wedding, they relocated from Sudan to Nigeria, where Sufiyan had his business.</p><p>They settled in Kaduna, specifically in Gwamna town, at Kinkinau neighborhood, where Sufiyan built a magnificent house. The house was so luxurious that words could hardly describe it—money had certainly been spent lavishly.</p><p>Their home was filled with love and care. They deeply cherished each other, and Sufiyan’s best friend and neighbor, Alhaji Ma’azu, played a significant role in their lives. He even helped them hire domestic workers. Among them was Abu, whom Safna preferred calling by her full name, Zainab.</p><p>Safna loved Zainab deeply, treating her like a younger sister.</p><p>Two years after their marriage, Allah blessed them with a beautiful baby. The joy in the household was indescribable, and their Sudanese relatives gathered to celebrate. They named the baby Saifullah.</p><p>Zainab played a significant role in raising Saifullah, treating him as if he were her own child. When he turned three, Zainab got married to Isa, who was Dady’s driver. They continued living within the same household, in a separate section of the house.</p><p>Safna took care of Zainab like a mother would her daughter, making sure she lacked nothing. In return, Zainab and her parents continuously prayed for her and Dady, acknowledging their immense kindness.</p><p>Even after marriage, Zainab frequently visited Safna’s section of the house, especially when her husband was away.</p><p>A New Blessing and a Tragic Loss</p><p>When Saifullah turned ten, Safna became pregnant again, filling the household with immense joy. Even before the baby’s birth, they had bought everything needed for the newborn. Saifullah, too, was excited and would insist that any toys or treats he received should also be bought for “their baby.”</p><p>After nine months and ten days, at exactly 10 PM, Safna gave birth safely at home to a beautiful daughter who was her exact replica.</p><p>On the naming day, they named her Aisha Humaira, but she was fondly called Bety D’iyata (a term of endearment in Hindi meaning “My Daughter”).</p><p>Bety was deeply cherished by everyone. She was always in Zainab’s arms unless she needed to nurse or sleep. Even Saifullah adored her, and whenever he returned from school, he spent all his time with her.</p><p>A Fateful Journey</p><p>Four years later, on a Saturday, Saifullah and Bety were playing at Zainab’s quarters when Uncle Isa and Aunt (Zainab) invited them to go with them to see their mother. However, Bety refused to go, clinging to Zainab.</p><p>Their mother, Safna, was preparing for a trip to Abuja for the wedding of Alhaji Ma’azu’s daughter. Dady was in Lagos for business and planned to head to the wedding from there.</p><p>However, just 30 minutes after leaving Kaduna, their vehicle got into an accident. Strangers and a kind passerby rushed them to the hospital. Before they could even reach Kaduna, Safna lost consciousness. Upon arriving at the hospital, she recited the Shahada before taking her last breath.</p><p>The doctor confirmed her passing.</p><p>Dady Receives the News</p><p>Meanwhile, Dady was attending a business meeting in Lagos. As he exited the meeting, he felt uneasy and cold, though he couldn’t explain why. His phone kept ringing, but he ignored it, assuming it wasn’t urgent.</p><p>His personal assistant (PA) eventually answered the call and, upon learning about the accident, chose to withhold the full details from Dady. Instead, he told him that Bety was sick and had been taken to the hospital.</p><p>Upon hearing this, Dady panicked and immediately ordered preparations for his journey to Kaduna.</p><p> </p><p> </p>
